Something to think about will be your overall 1st gear ratio. With the 4.11 rear and the 2.8 tko600 1st gear, you might as well start off in 2nd. I had that setup and 1st gear was useless. T56 would be a better choice with the 4.11. The close ratio t56 has the 2.66 1st gear. Rockland Standard Gear has a new magnum with a 2.29 1st gear and it is perfect with the 4.11 rear. Main thing is don't just think of the final gear ratio's when making you choice of transmissions. Good luck.

The Muncie that is in it now has the close ratio, if I'm correct it is a 2.2 ratio first gear. It is not enough, I would rather have a higher (numerical) first gear ratio. The car has 26" tires as well, not sure if that is helpful either. I'm not sure if I need 2.8, but I do know that the 2.2 is just annoying at this point. I think the car will end up getting a TKO600 from Hurst, sounds like that is what my father will want. Hurst seems to have the best reputation. I'll save the T56 idea for one of my own projects.
