      Paint Scheme Ideas Needed.

A paint and body guy is coming to look at my GTO next week. I am looking for something that stands out, but is not over the top. I want to keep the main color silver, and add some stripes/graphics, something with some color. Orange, maybe some Red. When it was painted 6 years ago I went with this. I have no artistic skills (As evidenced by what you see here). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I plan on having the rear bumper done in a brushed nickel. The car will have 18" rims, probably the Intro Wheels Phantom with rivets, and black spokes.

IMO, I would not add another color to that car. I would go with some black striping(or pinstriping) on the sides.

Thanks Fred, but I will be starting with a clean silver. NO charcoal grey will be on it at all. If I understand your comment correctly..

Come on guys, really?? No one has any ideas?? I guess I will have to go buy a 1/25th scale model, and start taking some artistic liberties...

The best thing is to buy a model and do some messing around.

I agree the body lines of this model dont lend them self to graphics other then the stock gto striping , they look best solid IMO. I like what you have now!

I think the GTO is an elegant car in silver.

2 tones and weird graphics just mess up the lines and appearance of a GTO.

Have you considered an interior color change rather than a paint gimic to make your Silver car pop ?

Silver with red interior is very classy and elegant in my opinion. Some subtle more stock appearing GTO graphics on the outside and your car would look stunning!
