well might have jumped the gun on the lsx conversion its a little more money than i want to spend at this point, so my buddys dad runs a resto shop for classic chevys who specializes in factory big block convertible cars there going to be removing a factory numbers matching 307 with 160K miles on it out of a 1970 chevelle the motor runs very well except for some bad valve seals so plans are a full rebuild a set of double hump heads and an aluminum intake with an edelbrock 600

If they're charging you for the 307, I'd sit down and do an honest budget on both options. An untouched 5.3 truck motor will be a much nicer motor for you and I'm willing to bet will cost about the same if you use a carb on it for now.

ETA: Nice dime you've got there.

      Nice, looks good.

I agree with monteboy, you should be able to find a nice LS based motor for short money.
Nice ride, I'm a big fan of the first gen s10s.
