2nd gen rear in a first gen??

just curious what it would take. i've got a friend with a 69 and a spare rear housing out of a 79. how much work would it be to put one into the other (preferably the rear into the car, not vice-versa)?

I have a 77 camaro rr end in my 68. The spring perches had to be moved in. As a result your wheels will be moved out accordingly.I think the 77 rr end was 1.25 inches wider total.
