      87 regal project

It's been awhile since I've had hot rod toy so figured why not get one. So started searching for one and ran across this 87 Buick Regal, had everything I was looking for like power windows, AC and wasn't all chopped up from someone else totally stock. Has 3.8 with 136,000 on it runs and drives but has lifter tap or needs valve adjustment no big deal for now. The best thing is it's not rusted out body is in very good shape only problem area is driver side floor pan from bad weatherstrip. Also came with all the chrome trim and grill. Only paid $500 for it. Here's some pics for now.

Have a couple of questions where is a good place to get weatherstripping from. How do you paint the window trim and the chrome on the headlight bezels and chrome on the taillights.
Not sure what color to paint it should I go with the original color dark red metallic or maybe charcoal grey any suggestions. Probably gonna run 17x9 and 17x11 but don't want to mess with frame notch thinking of going with GNX flares with fender trimming or extend factory fenders out like the flares. As for the suspension not sure yet. For the engine was gonna do turbo build but changed my mind and going with small block and T56. That's all for now definitely will update

Cool start, and welcome to the forum. There's a link to my build in my signature, check it out. It's ultra low buck so you won't find any bling and billet but it's a great driver and handles fantastically. It may spark some ideas for you.

Good to have another G-body aboard, keep the progress coming!

      Welcome!

Hope that rust isn't into the rockers too badly.

Small block and 6 speed will be a ton of fun!
