      Shes back in business

Well after blowing the transmission on my 639 GTO at the SCCA Road Atlanta event about 3 weeks ago, I have finally gotten the car back together. Upgraded Autogear M22 with Iron mid plate, super case, roller bearing first gear, cam button on counter shaft, and reinforced tail housing. Installed Italian Gearset with a road race gear Ratio: 2.20, 1.54, 1.17, 1. This allows the car to really perform in 2nd and 3rd with little shifting required.

Beefed up the clutch and installed a McLeod RXT Dual disc rated at 1000 hp.

Beefed up the driveshaft with a Moser aluminum 3.5 inch shaft and 1350 heavy duty u-joints.

Eaton Posi rear end should hold up fine.

Next race is this weekend in South Carolina. Running the "Are you Faster than a Redneck" track.

Thanks for all the help guys.

      Nice upgrade!
I went with the 1350 solid core universals, all forged yokes and a custom 3" driveshaft on my Firebird.....I don't like the smaller factory stuff behind anything with a bit of torque to it, lol.

Nice my next project is going to be a Firebird. The GTO is just too big and heavy, 3.5 inch drive shaft is massive.
