Nelson Racing Engines NRE 460 BBC Mirror Image Twin Turbo Engine

For sale is a new NRE twin turbo with transmission. The engine is for sale because I am lacking funds to finish the ride. The engine will ship directly from NRE - headers will be made and swapped out to fit your engine bay (this was intended for a Nova).

Nelson Racing 460ci BBC Twin Turbo
1050 hp @ 6000 rpm 1000 ft lbs of torque at 4500 rpm @14 psi on 91 octane

The car runs on 91 octane and does not require race gas.

Included:
-Engine
-Air to water intercooler built into intake
-Stainless hardlines
-Titan gerotor oil pump
-321 stainless header built custom (for your ride)
-Mirror image turbochargers
-Custom intake piping from turbos to intake hand built transition piece
-Additional blow off valve
-Turbo 400 with all the bells the whistles (updated sprags, billet inputs, etc.) to handle this kind of power.
-Custom torque converter
-Engine can still be blacked out if desired

The price is $56,000. NRE currently has a 9-12 month backlog.

Pardon the ignorance, but I've been on the NRE web site and thought these motors ran right around $40k. Why the difference? Just want to better understand what NRE provides in their packages. Thanks...

No worries. The price difference is due to all of the other items listed that are not "engine." Their base price does get you a working engine package but they offer options to improve both the performance and the appearance above and beyond their already powerful engines. It's these options that sets NRE apart from the others...which is ultimately why I chose them. The largest price drivers in this listing (above base pricing) are the alien style intake, transmission - to handle over 1,000lb-ft tq, mirror image turbos and the air to water intercooler that is built into the intake.
