Ford 9 carrier ID
Hey guys, need your help on identifying a Ford 9" carrier. It's a 31 spline unit, looks sort of like a trac-lock on the inside. The markings on it are L F 9 and it has an Auburn logo cast into it. Any ideas on what this is? And is it any good? Comparable to Ford's factory Trac-loc? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I'd say an Auburn cone-style LSD. Not a very popular one as it's not rebuild-able. If it's new it's a decent diff. Used I'd be wary of purchasing.

Thanks for the response, I ended up taking a pass on it. At least I know what it is now if another one shows up. This one was used on e-bay with a starting price of $75, so I considered taking a shot, but it got pushed up to $140, so I let it go since I wasn't sure.
