      Trans lines/hoses..what iseveryone running?

I just installed my ls1/4l60e in my 69 camaro and overlooked the trans lines.
so now its tough to get to the fittings and see what size they even are. I have a ls swap radiator with threads that fit the th 350 steel lines but do not think they are going to fit the trans..or even reach. I do not like using rubber hose and clamps.
What iseverone using for the trans coolant lines? what size hose and adaptors etc..?

I was able to use the lines from a 4th gen F-body. Maybe salvage yard pic? I always get them from the donor car. You would need to use the fittings with the clips on the rad side. Or you could use the stock 69 lines for a T350 trans. You just may need to change the fittings in trans to the T350 style. If you already have those that would be cheapest route.

We ran into a similar issue on a 66 Galaaxie 500 we have in the shop right now, the car has a built 460 with an overdrive trans, as the customer drove up to the shop a cloud of smoke accompanied him. His trans lines were from summit, the real cheap aluminum fittings and cloth covered pretty looking hoses. I went to our hydraulic line supplier and got some hi pressure hydraulic lines with pushlock fittings. They wont leak or come off. period. The hoses are rated to 300psi and 300+ degrees. they work great, no vibration from lines hitting the oil pan easy to route through the frame or around mounts.

I plan to use these for my new trans. While not cheap, they look nice and should be reliable.

My problem is I did not install them before I installed the motor. I somehow got the 3/8 line adaptors in but I can not access the top hole or even get the 3/8 line to bend enough to fit. it hits the trans tunnel and need atleat 1" to fit it.
I might have to spend more and go with AN fittings if anyone makes them in a 90' and hope I can get the stanless hose on after..anyone know the thread size or fittings I would need?

I am using the stainless steel TH350 hard lines. They bolt right into my 97 LT1 4L60E, no problem. I'm not sure if GM changed the thread size on the LS1 trans compared to the LT1. The TH350 lines fit perfectly though with the exception the top line hits the trans tunnel. My car is still in the build phase, so I haven't completely remedied that problem. I did do some extra bending on the line there to gain clearance.

Yes, the new lines are 3/8 .I did it after laying on my back with my arms twisted around the headers and hands stuck between the trans and tunnel.
I had to dent the tunnel crease in with a pipe and sludge hammer. It sucked! lesson ..install trans lines before installing the motor!
