ATS AFX Spindles for a 68 camaro

Who's A-Arms are designed to work the best with the ATS AFX Spindles for a 68 camaro. People I have spoken to all like their own stuff the best, while I know you dont want a hodge podge of parts, the spindle should be a part that is interchangeable. Also, do the corvette brakes work as well as brakes on a standard spindle.

I see your located just arround the corner from us now.
The spindle will work with all the major brands of control arms. Of course we would hope you would look at Speedtech for the entire system, We do have a special upper arm that works well with the tall spindle.

The Corvette brakes if you are comparing them to a corvette brake conversion on the factory spindle will be equal.

I appreciate the feed back, ridetech has indicated that these spindles would not work well with their arms due to their design, which led me to ask the question originally to who has designed their arms to work with these spindles. Since I already have the spindles on the shelf I do not want to pick an arm that isnt compatible. Maybe the cart is in front of the horse on this one. I also learned from them that the the tru-turn doesnt work with these based on the steering arm. so another problem to overcome.

I think buying furniture with the wife ended up being easier than picking these parts and I had sworn i would never do that again..

So, as I am still undecided..do I sell the AFX spindles and go with the more standard spindle to run wider up front. What is your opinion?

why do you think you can not run a wide tire with the AFX spindle? you can fit a 18 x 9 - 9.5 with a 275 on a stock sub with the AFX spindle. One Lap has that combination with our control arms. not sure how much bigger you want to go?

But can you go to a 10" wheel to run a 275 or larger tire.

it would depend on the wheel. if it was a step lip, 18 possibly, or a 19 probably,
      if i was running a 10 i would want a 285 or 295 on it, a 9.5 is perfect for a 275

I agree with all that you have replied so far and I appreciate the time you have taken to help me understand and what my options are. That being said, part of the problem is there is so much information in these forums that you begin to doubt what direction you want to go. One day it is afx spindles that everyone raves about and the next day it is someone else's tall spindle that is the hot ticket. None of it is cheap, which makes the choices all that much harder since you cannot afford to do it twice.
