      Anyone ordered Coddington wheels recently

I'm looking for some feedback from anyone that has ordered Coddington wheels recently. Last I heard they were having serious issues and I can't find any dealers besides their on website but I'm really wanting a set for my 57

Boyd Jr has sold the rights to his dad's name to a Mr Manson in Australia, I heard he is opening a new website. His brother Chris (his former partner) is still building some wheels under the Hot Rods by Boyd name. Chris is a standup guy, if you are tempted to buy some of these look for Chris's site and see what he can do for you.

Spoke with Chris a couple of times in the last week. I will finish ordering my wheels with him tomorrow. Best deal I could find and is helpful and great to deal with. I think the issues are in the past.

I spoke to him and like everyone else said he was very helpful and very willing to do anything to help and a very good price as well. Everyone i have talked said to stay away from Jr that is where all the problems are coming from. still haven't made up my mind on his or Budnik Diamond Light

Chris is a standup guy from what I can tell. His brother Boyd Jr and the people that worked for him were jerks and lead me on for over 6 months for my wheels. I almost pulled the order several times. My 18x 8's in the front are good but my 20x 10's in the rear are crooked on the hoop. I think you will be okay going with Chris but Boyd Jr has tarnished the name. To be fair to Chris what Boyd Jr did should be distinctly separate. Chris would answer the phone when Genuine Boyd's (Boyd Jrs company) would not, and it wasn't even his sale. I almost went to litigation over this but figured there wasn't enough money in it to really be effective in doing so. It was a complete bummer to say the least and now I have to save up for new wheels :(

Words of advice from a fellow hot rodder.

You know what makes it even worse. I can remember being in 2nd grade and having Boyd Coddington school folders of the Chezoom and other creations of his. I was in amazement. I couldn't wait until I got older to have a piece of that dream, and I was completely let down as an adult with the product and service I received from Boyd JR.
