      gopro video edit probs

I'm trying to edit all my gopro videos from last year using windows media player. When I play the video back it's all choppy and the audio does not sinc up with the video. My question, is my computer to slow or is there an easier (cheap) program to edit and post my videos on FB or emails with. Any help would be great.

      gopro video edit probs

I have tried cineform with similar results. I noticed with cineform that the convert and upload times are through the roof. I'm going to try taking the computer to Best Buy today and see what I've screwed up. It should play videos allot better than it is. It's an HP Pavilion Dv2000 Verve special edition.

I had a similar problem...choppy video, audio wasn't in sync. Turns out I had a memory card that wasn't fast enough. When I bought my Hero 3 I made sure I got a Class 10 memory card. Even if your memory card is a high speed card, you may want to test with another card. Unfortunately, if this is the problem, it won't help with your current video files.

Just as long as future videos start to be manageable. I'm getting tired of shooting awesome vids that I can't do anything with. By the way. The vids play just fine if I plug the gopro directly to the tv. I think it's a computer problem. I just finished backing up files so I'll take it to best buy as soon as the kids get up from naps.

      gopro video edit probs

Well turns out that at 5 years old my laptop is completely useless for video editing. Processor and memory limitations make it cheaper to buy a new computer and since the car is priority the computer is on the back burner. Thanks for the help.

I think we're going to try editing through the iPad but it's only a 16gig so space is limited. It's worth a try. I just have to go Sunday and get the card adapter.

Looks like GoPro created their own editing program... they used to recommend MPEG Streamclip and I have been using it with good results.

      gopro video edit probs

Turns out that the iPad is awesome for editing gopro videos. I used the iPad picture kit and loaded from the card directly onto the iPad and then used iMovie to edit and post. Go see my video of my trans am at rtth 2012 at http://youtu.be/wCfwErbAgfw.
I messed up at the start and put that it was 2013 but not bad for my first edit.
