      What looks better?

I guess the reason guys are staggering 18's on front and 19's on back is tire width availability in the 19 inch size. I am tubbing and wonder if we want to try and get an equal amout of "tire sidewall height" in front and back. Or total tire diameter. If I went with 265/35-18 in front on a 9" rim and 305/30-19 on a 11" rim in back I would have around the same height side wall but a one inch OD smaller tire in front. If I went with a 265/40-18 in front I would have about the same tire OD front and back but about a half inch more sidewall height in front. Would that look weird? What are you guys looking for?

If there is a difference of 1" in your wheel diameter then there should be at least a 1" difference in overall diameter. Using the same overall diameter with different sized wheels will make the smaller wheel look way smaller than it really is.

So yes, matching sidewall height is what you are looking for.

I like as much sidewall as possible. But matching makes sense..

Hello, what tire and wheel combo did you end up going with? Thanks in advance.
