Hmm, so in that case, why isn't the blockoff plate flat? I assumed that there was a reason for the raised area (That it was needed for the heater for some reason).

The plate on the firewall was made that way for aesthetics only.

I finally got around to working on the frame. The first thing I did was box the side rails with 1/8" plate.Name: frame box cell1.jpg

The first part of this project I outsourced so far was having the frame sand blasted. For some reason it took the guy five weeks to blast the frame and it made me wish I had just bought a cheapo blaster and done it myself. Oh well, the frame did look good when I got it back in bare metal!Name: bare frame.jpg

I sprayed the frame in two coats of SPI epoxy primer, then sprayed the front part of the frame with Eastwood ceramic chassis black. I left the back part of the frame in primer because I still have a lot of cutting/welding to do back there. The front half is ready for some assembly.Name: Mohawk epoxy.jpg

I guess it depends on how I need to route any future exhaust system the car might have. The Gforce cross member has a provision for true dual exhaust, correct?

Working on getting the new front suspension and brakes together. I'm running SPC uppers and lowers, along with ATS spindles and single adjustable Varishocks.Name: New control arms.jpg

I went with Wilwood W6A front brakes. They are 14.25" rotor with 6-piston calipers.Name: BIG brake instagram.jpg

I stayed with the traditional coil spring in the front for now (as opposed to a coilover). The springs are eibach and they were previously on the car but I never ran a good shock with them like the Varishocks I will have now. We will see how they do.Name: full suspension rear.jpg

You make tubbing look too easy. Kinda funny the trunk hinges got in the way...

Nice build. It is cool you have the car for so long.
