      Pro-touring in Russia

      Hey guys!

Just had the opportunity to by my first Camaro, a 1968 SS built up as a pro-tourer. Really hard to come by here in Russia, and likely one in a lifetime opportunity, so when I saw the for-sale add I had to get it

Here she is in our shop waiting to be picked by for paint right after the holidays

The engine is a 406 small-block built by AR Racing
tranny is a Tremec TKO 5speed
rear end is a Fab9 (taller had no clue to the gear set used or the limited slip, so that is still on the list to figure out)
      Willwood disk brakes all around
      dakota digital dash
      vintage air setup

I would like to track down the original owner/builder of this in US to go over some details of the build and get the info I don't have, so if anyone recognizes this car, please let me know

Here's a vid my guys shot at the shop when we just got it in

Thanks! I sure hope so, haven't actually seen it in person yet. Kinda hard to plan the next step without really knowing what it currently rides and drives like...really have my eyes set on one of the ridetech suspension kits

I'm more of a car-audio guy dueto the nature of my business, but I've been following pro-touring back from the 90's when I was in high-school

Oh ya, my name's Greg, since this is the introduction/welcome section

      Hi Greg,

Welcome. Hope it and this forum will (at least) meet your expectations. Where in Russia are you located?

      Cheers,
      René

Hey, thanks! This place is great, I'm still going through various build logs and finding huge amounts of information....might be a while before I post anything on my build )))

I'm based in Moscow, but currently residing in Mexico... I will be back in Russia come April and then we will really kick the project into gear. Hopefully the new paint will be done by then...if I ever make my mind up on the color that is ))) my initial choice was to do the same color as my Dodge Ram

But cars like Mr. Totem's Vengence are really throwing me off and making me want to go with a flat black ))))
