Shor vs long water pump ?

I m about to order the Vintage Air IV for my 68 Firebird, it has a bone stock 350 from a 90 Vette, pulleys and all. Question is when I specify water pump size, I have read where my pump is a little different but I assume I just order the kit for a short water pump, will this be correct?

Is the corvette setup a serpentine belt drive stock? Should be a TPI injection right? If you have the stock serpentine drive you can run that compressor with your new ac unit, assuming it is in good working order.

The water pump should be short, the difference is the the snout on the pump, the little tit that sticks through the pulley. Standard is 5/8" and vette is 3/4" I think.

Look at the pump on your motor. If there is a gap between the water pump & timing cover that you can squeeze your finger in it is a LWP. If there is basically no space it is a SWP.
