big block or small block heater core

Just curious for those using a factory non AC car's heater box... If my car is a small block car should I switch to a big block heater core for clearance? I'm running autokraft motor mounts. I've heard these mounts leave little room for SB core tubes. Anyone running a LS with factory SB core in a first gen with these mounts ?

      Thanks
      Brian

I ran an ls1 w/small block heater box. I dont recall the mounts I had, but they were not autokraft. Do you know how far the move the motor back? The stock booster has been more a problem for me than the heater box.

I use Hooker mounts but I believe they set the engine as far back as the Autokraft's. It's very, very thight at the heater core. I had to bent the outlets and it's still tight.

If you have the opportunity I would advise to either go BB heater or turn the current heater core 180*; http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=158672

Brian, if you decide to switch to a big block heater core, let me know. I have an old one that I am not going to use anymore (swapped to vintage aair).
