      Muggy Weld ??

      Anyone ever use this stuff?? I was considering using it to weld brackets onto my aluminum radiator.

      Well this idea is out. Just learned that the Griffin Radiator I have has epoxied tanks. Not a good idea to heat up a radiator with epoxied tanks. Will need to look at other options. Maybe JB Weld the brackets on or use a slide in style. Then figure how to mount my dual LT1 fan setup... Projects are SO much fun

      I have welded on Griffin radiators before. Just watch your heat and use water soaked rags as a heat dam.

      I have not used the muggy weld but have never heard anything good about it either. Get someone to tig weld the brackets on for you, any racecar, hotrod, or fab shop should be able to do it.

      If the area isnt close to the epoxied area a good welder may be able to pull it off for you. Some epoxies are capable of with standing intense aounts of heat. Id look into it and call the MFR

      FWIW, the tanks are still welded to the tubes, the epoxy is there to help with vibration.
