The Forgeline SC3C-SL (Concave Stepped Lip) finished with the new Transparent Copper powder coat on the center and the almost-new Transparent Smoke powder coat on the outer and inner. Learn more about the Transparent Copper finish at: http://www.forgeline.com/products/ac...nt-copper.html

      Nice!

I wonder how they would look on a car painted in GM's Firethorn Metallic Red, circa 1977 ?

Like doo doo. Too monochromatic IMHO. The subtle differences in color may look better in person as this is just cheesy hack rendering. Visual aid only.

      I need that mustang.

      76 T/A but samey.

Wow! The two colours are more similar than I thought they would be.
I kind of like the looks of it. It reminds me of the colour matched rally wheels that were available on the late '70s Rally Sport Camaros.

Ignore my doo doo remark as that is very IMHO. As long as you are happy with your car. I can do a better rendering if you would like? The source image I used was not light friendly. I would imagine the hue difference between the firethorn and the copper would become more distinct in person. "firethorn" is very open to interpretation, apparently, as I have seen it range wildly in hue depending on whom and on what day it was sprayed. Carousel red is even worse.

A similar copper finish can be achieved on any wheel as wheels are perfectly capable of receiving a coat or two of paint. Duplicolor makes some nice copper wheels paints. Heck, Firethorn, or color match, can be painted onto any wheel if your desire is for a monochromatic look.

I don't know why, but I am in love with that finish. Looks great on a white car....hum.....
