It's very good option. You can run either twin TBI's or dual air valves with port injection below. While either setup can be tuned better than carbs for economy...the sequential port injection would get the edge.

I agree with Dennis, but with a 496,are you really worried about gas milage? With that in mind, you spend your money better on a good OD transmission.

No doubt the OD and EFI would be an ideal combination. Especially w/ a lockup converter. I've bested 12.9mpg on e85 w/ 572" Twin Turbo BBC. Granted it has a very mild cam and not much gear needed. I've spent alot of time working on fuel milage tuning...it takes some work but worth the effort in the end.

      I'd say that's impressive considering it's on e85...

      Dennis,

I assume this was with the new Holley Dominator system?

Correct...it shows real time fuel economy as the system knows fuel/lbs hr and speed from the 4L80E. I back that up with the normal milage vs gals as well...worked out nearly spot on.

I remember seeing a few years back a Hemi dual quad where they plumbed the injectors underneath and modded some carbs to just be air valves with a TPS.
