I have been wondering about the same thing. Is there something that I can change in my setup to stop this?

My understanding of how it should work is whenever you log on to the board, all posts since last time you logged in are "new". Any posts you didn't read before wandering off last time are no longer new.

I do not know of a way to change this behavior.

One solution is to use the "New Posts" option up in the red tool bar. Clicking that link will bring you to a new page which lists only the threads that have been replied to since the last time you logged on to the site.

If you prefer to read the site by the individual forums, you can just see what Tach is moving, and that forum contains new posts since you last visited. The title of the new or newly replied to threads inside the forum will be in bold.
