      Fuse panel location

I'm hopefully going to start wiring the car up soon. It's stripped of all the old and all new. I was thinking about mounting the fuse panel in the trunk, hidden behind a side panel. With the roll cage, it's going to suck wiring up let alone get to ever. Has anybody on here done that and have pictures of how they mounted it? Any issue with it being back there that I'm missing?

Do yourself a favor pick up these two books. Both of them are by Tony Candela and are very well written.
He touches base on all of the basics in his first book

and covers some fairly in-depth projects in his second.

I have read through both of them a few times and everything I am doing here on the van I have either picked up through Tony's books or had my knowledge reinforced or changed for the better by him.
You would also do well by looking over Mad Electrics site. He has a lot of info and knowledge on it just for the taking.

If your battery is back there I can't see any issues you'd have.

      It's going to be fine.
The biggest concern with routing a fuse panel in the trunk would be battery distance to the fuse block.
But if it's all right by each other in the trunk I'd think that's the optimum place for battery weight
and resistance distance for the electrical source.

Looking back at my 2nd gen rewiring with the AAW Highway 22 kit, I should have put it all in the trunk.
