      New guy with '71 Bird

I stumbled upon this site and all I can say is amazing. Wish I had this much access to auto info when I bought my bird in '86. I think I've spent 2 solid days going through the forum and pics. There are some very nice cars and great ideas in here! Makes me want to tear it down and start over. It was driven daily from 86 to 99 so it has some wear on it now. One of the interesting things about it was when I replaced the carpet I found a wedding invitation that had slipped under the carpet dated 1971 at the church just 10 mins from where I grew up.

Great looking 'bird. Those fender vents were one year only right? I have always thought the second gens needed a fender vent low on the fender.

      Thanks srh3trinity,
That's right, after '71 they put the vent higher on certain models.

Welcome Ryan! Love the fact that you have owned it for so long. Looks great with the GTA wheels too!
