      Getting new A arms need advise.

Size:  269.3 KBI am getting new A arms for my 67 Chevelle. I was talking to my alignment guy and he said I should look at getting adjustable A arms rather than the tubular ones becuause they are easier to adjust. Now my first question is which is better and why? Another issue is I love the way it sits now and don't really want to make it lower. So when I get new arms do I need to get new spindles and if so who or what and can I do it without lowering it any further?

      Hey Nick.

      Thanks guys for mentioning UMI.

      Our upper arms have some addl caster built in as well as the tall ball joint option to improve camber gain.

      Our lowers are factory geometry.

      Neither will change ride height or stance.

      Adjustable uppers are indeed nice (I'd be lying if I said the aren't) but a quality UMI arm accomplishes a performance alignment and requires no mechanical maintenance other than the occasional greasing.

      why would your alignment guy say adjustables are easier to adjust? it should take longer to do the alignment and once it is done i doubt you will readjust it.
      if the frame is not bent then there is no reason the adjustables would be easier to adjust.
      you should not need new spindles either if you are happy with the ride height.

      Nice chevelle, I just finished a stock(boring) ss for a customer. yourl looks 1000 times better. A arms ..just do not buy them off e bay!

      Tubular A- arms

      I would highly recommend calling Global West. I have used their pieces for years and the quality is superior.
