ordered a ricks vaporworx tank and the place that I ordered it from says they don't sell lines or anything. Its going in a 69 camaro with a 418. Anyone know what size fittings, lines, and filter I need?

I might be able to help ;-)

For the outlet fitting use a Russell 644120. This will convert the GM 3/8" quick connect on the module outlet to AN6 male.

From there a 3/8" PTFE flexible line usually works best. There should be a #10-32 thread on the front wall of the tank that must be used with a clamp to support the fuel line and help reduce the forces applied to the plastic module outlet.

The flexible line can then tie into the line on the frame rail.

No external filter is needed. Just flush the lines clean prior to final connection at the fuel rail.

Carl just received my tank , piece of art. question should I be concerned about pick up lines rubbing against baffle I tried to maneuver them as much as possible but not 100% confident. Should they have a tab to guide them over and keep them from rubbing. I'm thinking vibration and rubbing no good.

While your at it- go ahead and figure out a good vent set up...I'm researching it now for mine after this wknd of autocrossing and dumping fuel all over after every run...Hopefully there is another solution other than the $300 II Much setup?

I know, it seems like ridiculous money. There are other solutions out there but none of them are as easy to install or function quite as well. Look up some of the pre prototypes John was using. I think he was using a Mike Norris oil separator before.

The need to get the catch can higher than the gas tank is what causes the problems. The catch can needs to mount in the trunk. So you have to run one line in and then one line back out so as not to fume up your trunk. With the IIMuch setup all of the plumbing stays below the trunk sheetmetal and eliminates the posssibility of fumes (or fuel in an extreme case) from entering your trunk.

I have installed the first ones that made it out John's shop. We autocrossed and road raced that car with a full tank and didn't have a problem....not even a whiff of fuel smell.

We did that (figure out a good vent set up). Our vent solves this problem thoroughly and completely.

frankv11, are the hoses rubbing on the fore/aft bulkhead or on some other baffle? Often just using a zip tie will secure the hoses well enough.

They rub on baffle edge right before pick up. I thought about zip ties but not Confortable tying it to a sharp edge. Also please send me your contact info I need to order a control module for it
