Is it just me or is the passing of this exemplary American is not getting much coverage. This is the man who first walked on the moon and did it humbly. Armstrong has got to be the one biggest figures in a century but it is being treated as a footnote in today's news.

Where is the President calling for the flags to be half mast?

Unfortunately, our (so called) president doesn't put alot of importance on people and events in our history...

x2 to all of the above, a true hero and example of everything good about this country. He (and Collins/Aldrin) handled the fame and weight of his role with class and dignity. Think about the things he did, He flew the X1, and later the X15 experimental rocket at close to 4000mph before the days of computerized flight controls - just getting into that beast takes a level of brass that is unreal. Then to go to the moon believing he had a 50/50 shot of even touching down ok, let alone getting back. He will be missed, and the media mis handled not just another American hero's passing, but one of the greatest.
