      96z motor missing problem

      My 96 z28 is having a bad missing problem when it idles , I have put new spark plugs in it and it still does I have a theory that it could be a injection problem but I want to know for sure , of you guy have any suggestions please let me know

      those LT's are notorious for the distributor going on on them... when the intake starts to leak... it leaks straight down onto the distributor thats located behind the crank pulley.. pretty much starts to self destruct by shorting out...

      Its probably the Opti-spark. They are the worst part of those engines, and some genius decided to put them under the water pump (which is prone to leak/go out to begin with-its the 2nd worst part!).

      Thanks guys your the best will try my best to fix the problemI'm a teen so it's hard trying to fix up a z like mine with school and everything , thank you guys again .

      I would think opti spark too, especially if it is original to the car.
