      Outlaw Vintage Racing NASA SE

Has anyone gone out to see these races? I believe a member here runs a 68 Firebird. Virtually no rules regarding period correctness or modernizing. Anyone got a project car they can't afford body/paint, interior, and bling for but already built a killer drivetrain & suspension? Here's a place to run it!

      From the NASA SE site

      Outlaw Vintage

Racing in the NASA-SE Thunder Group is a new Vintage Race group: Outlaw Vintage. Outlaw Vintage intends to be home for the builder/racer who desires to road race a vintage pony car, but not be confined to vintage performance parts or vintage rules. Instead, any modern components can be combined to create the vintage appearing race car of the builder's wildest dreams or modest budget as the case may be. Cars are grouped using a power/weight fromula with a bump rule for certain modifications. The organizers encourage builders to keep the external appearance simular to how the cars would have presented in the origional Trans-Am serices, but it is up to the builder's discretion.
