      Why Shocks Matter

Anyone see the ridetech video summarizing the important role shocks play on ride quality and performance? There's a few posters from pro-touring.com on it. It's currently up on youtube for your viewing pleasure:

Great video. I'm looking forward to getting their triple adjustables this winter.

I agree shocks are the best suspension upgrades you can bolt on, switching to an adjustable shock from a non-adjustable, made my car quicker into and out of corners, Brett knows his stuff!

There are still a lot of people out there that see suspension tuning as voodoo and they defer back to the statement that they only know engines. My typical response to these types is to think of the shock function to the suspension as being the same as a camshaft function is to the engine. They both determine key operating parameters that the rest of the components can best perform in. Mismatching either the cam or the shocks can produce a vehicle that will operate, but may not be optimal. Optimize these functions and even lesser combinations can become stellar performers.
