So the story goes...

Once upon a time I had a 71 Dart that I turbocharged and was going to do body work on it over the winter. After removing a few panels and fenders, the car was diagnosed with cancer and had 6 months to live.
It was sent down the road and I picked up a cancer free 70 Dart from Arizona to start a new build on.

As you will see this build took and entirely different direction then the last build.

8 3/4 diff, Large Bolt pattern hubs and wheels, Disc front brakes.



And then the tear down started so it could go on the rotisserie.


Found 2 build sheets.

Been looking all over for a 46RH. Found a few, all but one were to expensive and trashed. Went and checked out the one today at the bone yard but it turned out to be the non lockup version. I did however score a 42RH.
Its not as stout but it should do the job for a few years.

USCarTool SFC's were fitted.

Had the bottom of the car sand blasted for $200. BEST $200 I've ever spent!



Only found one problem spot.

Rear passenger trunk area.

Sub-frames installed. Just need to be grinded and seam sealed.

Reilly Motorsports spring relocation kit was installed.



Minitubs


Patch panel in the trunk to replace the only rotten spot i've found on the car.



Lower Radiator support installed.

Test fitted some 315 35R17's on the Dart since the mini tub is done.

Decided to step it up finally and pulled out the good camera.

27.5x19 Griffin radiator is mounted. Think it turned out nice.

Color has been chosen.
Here is the test panel and multiple pictures so you can see how it changes based on the light.

Loud and obnoxious, just like Ma Mopar liked them.









Took a picture with the good camera. And I still can't capture the color correctly. Cameras have a real hard time with this color.
Even the factory car I got the color from shows up different in every picture I've seen.

3 stage paints are awesome.
Can't wait to see how it shows off the body lines of the hood and the rest of the car.

Put the Dougs headers in place so I can see where the lines need to run to avoid the exhaust.
I'm pretty dang happy with the headers so far. They fit like a glove and clear the transmission crossmember.

Fuel line, transmission lines have been run.
Mounted the line lock and ran some of the brake lines.
I need to remake the one line with stainless and run the front and rear brakes yet.

Great looking build so far. What are your thoughts on the rest of the interior, and the motor? Keep the pictures coming.

The motor is a 1990 360 so it has the roller valve train. It will be getting a refresh.

Interior will have the custom dash, at some point a custom console.

I've got more progress pictures to post to get you guys up to speed on where the build is now.
