      MAD Electrical

Hey guys, is MAD Electrical out of business? I've been calling since Friday and I'm not really getting a busy signal. It sounds more like a disconnected signal. That said, am I better off buying his kits or should I piece together my own? Where is a good source for pieces parts?

I know he is hard to get a hold of. It took a couple times when I called last year.

He is always hard to get a hold of, but if you can wait it's worth it. The knowledge he will share with you on the phone is worth the wait in my opinion.

Ok, I'll keep trying. I'm getting impatient though. Waytek seems to have everything I need and their prices seem reasonable.

You know, the phone never rings. It can't always be busy. It really acts like a disconnected number.

Nice guy and he talks a lot once you get a hold of him so, yeah, it is always busy. I'm happy with the stuff I bought from him but with the exception of the remote solenoid/ relay most of it could be replicated for much less by pulling from a car in a junkyard. The wire he uses does appear to be of good quality though, copper isn't cheap and the booklets he throws in (one of which he charges $10 or so for I think) are all fairly interesting.
