      More Holley Dominator problems

I posted a thread earlier about the multitude of problems with this system on a thread titled Holley Dominator EFI problems.
Back again with more problems. Initially had to send the ECU back for repairs since it was defective, had wiring issues, tuning issues, defective sensor issues. It appeared that the system was not fully tested and developed when we recieved it due to the responses from the Holley people.
Now we have an issue with the ECU again. It is putting out a signal from the ECU to my Speedo making it inoperable. It acts like a tach.
Holley service is much to be desired, can't seem to get much help. Correspondance is thru Email and their answers are slow to return and frankly not much help. Probably have to send the ECU back. AGAIN. This expeience has been frustrating to say the least, a big PIA. Delays due to defective ECU costs weeks and $$
I would proceed with extreme caution when looking at this product.
Now to be fair I would like for the Holley people to respond to this thread and get their input. But if it is like their service I'm not holding my breath.

Sorry to sound frustrated but it has been a long process with many twists and turns.
Probably work it out. Need input from Holley and talk with my Holley distributor/ tuner.
Hope its worth the effort and $. Keep you posted.

      Update
      Still having problems with speedo.
Holleys solution was to blame it on software. Sent new software and had to wipe clean my previous tune and then retune. $$ Did that no change.
We told Holley that there is a signal coming from the speedo port confirmed with an osciiloscope but Holley ignores this and states that it shouldn't have signal.
My tuner and builder are both at loss since Holley seems to be unsure of problem and have now place the blame on Autometer. We switch speedos and tried a good working speedo with same results.
We have enlisted a Holley rep, Rick Anderson, who is building a car with an LS, same tranny and AUTOMETER gauges. He will try to answer our problem since corporate is so hesitant, reluctant and difficult to work with.
      Plug and play, yea right.
I just wnat my car to perform like they advertise. Why are they so reluctant to help? Why just try another ECU? WTF! I have spent thousands for this system and it really sucks. I can not recommend this product, since we have spent now three months trying to work out problems after the install and Holleys help has been far from satisfactory.

      Ok
talked with my tuner who has been in touch with Holley. Holley stated that they have only used "factory"
gauges in the past, which makes little sense, on a 1969 they were mechanical. They do not have a solution.
Apparently the dominator system is not compatible with the Autometer speedo.
      Looking at other options.
I would check with Holley before buying this product to be sure it is compatible with your gauges. There may be other brands that have same problem.

Thanks for the heads up, I was considering running a dominator set-up...now I'm not so sure, really due to the lack lustre after sale support you mention. Product sure looks good on paper.

I know it's not the solution you're looking for, but I believe Autometer now sells a GPS speedo, you could always sell your cluster and replace with a matching style AM or Speedhut or similar, remove the ECU from the equation all together.

      Were looking into the GPS
Unfortunately I have nine gauges that I meticulously research and bought from Autometer. They were the closest to original appearance. And they all matched and had the functions that I was looking for. I spent over a thousand on these gauges and really like them.
