      SPC on 67 Camaro

I am just wondering if I can benefit from running just the uppers with a tall joint since i am running stock drum spindles with my brake setup? I have rebuilt stock control arms, but would like to use stock bottoms due to money being tight. Would i benefit from changin upper only or does the bottom need to be changed also? I have hotchkis springs, qa1 adjustable shocks, hotchkis sway bar, 12:1 sweet mfg gearbox, would I benefit running the spc uppers with tall joints opposed to what I have right now?
