      Blak Outs new engine

I picked up a 2005 LQx 6.0 today to replace the stock LS1 in my Chevelle I'm calling Blak Out. I'm not really sure what the plan is for the engine bit I'd like to make around 500 hp and get 20+ mpg, any ideas.

The engine is complete minus wiring alt starter and ac.

Here's the car. I'm planning to channel it about 4.5 inches next summer.

I think I figured out what the guy meant when he said something was wrong with the cam. Is this a common problem?? What happened??

I'm going to build it up with a set of L92 heads so I'll need better than stock but thanks for thd offer. I'm really leaning to twin turbos. The question of the day is, is it possible to make 800hp and get 20 mpg??

      Yes
Get a ECM that you can have Matabele tunes.
Back the boost to about 3-5psi and have your doc to give you something for that twitchy right foot.

I have a question of what accessories and intake to run on my TT build. I've got pretty much everything off the lq4 engine water pump, alt-steering bracket, intake and throttle body. I have an LS1 in the car now so I could rob everything off of it. What would be the best option. The LS will go up for sale in the end as a long block with trans or complete minus wiring.

what are you running for exhaust manifolds? map sensor? (colbalt ss?)
for manifolds i ended making my own because thier isnt a header for a Buick Nailhead but you should be able to find something easily. Great looking build and good luck with the engine. Keep us updated

Right now I'm just collecting the parts. I'm thinking of using truck manifolds flipped.

Hot Rod Flats, don't buy this paint. It's ****in garbage. The car looks good in the pic but if you saw it in person it looks worse than if I used spray bomb. It's crazy stripped and blotchy.
