Question? Are people bringing spouses/kids on this cruise... or is this, as my wife calls it, a "Man Day"?

Yes. My wife is attending. 100% for sure--just confirmed and told her she can't back out. Definitely not a Man day. Our target state park has swimming BBQ's, picnic areas, etc. Check out Housatonic Meadows State Park. If you find a better park, by all means we can change destinations.

I am not sure...maybe the gf, maybe a buddy...but since it has to do with cars...probably just me!!! Gonna have to make some good CDs for the ride down!

      open invitation

I’m a little late to the game here, but wanted to extend an offer to all of you to stop by our shop, Racing Engine Development, for refreshments. We are located about 10 minutes west of Marcus in Brewster, NY.

Some of the guys from the shop and I plan to meet up with you at Marcus for coffee. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to join you for the cruise up Route 7 because we have a couple of races coming up and a lot of work to do.

But, for those that would like to come by the shop later in the day, we’d love to see you! We’ll be heading back to Marcus for the Sat. night car show around 6pm. For those that haven’t been, it’s a well-run event.

I’ll also take this opportunity to invite everyone to our open house on Saturday, September 17th. We had a great turnout last year and will have the same format…open house in the afternoon followed by a cruise over to Marcus that eve. Save the date!

Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Wow! Thank you for the offer Tom. Sounds great to me. I suppose if we left the picnic around 1PM, we could get there by 3PM to 4PM. Up route 7 and down Route 22
I can't remember if I've toured Rt 22, but I think so. Maybe it was further north on my way home from Lake George. How is itas a road? Too many lights? Suburban sprawl? or Just right?
      Thank you for your hospitality

      Steve,

Route 22 has some beautiful scenery and twisty sections...but not right by us. Suburban sprawl, I guess.

From Marcus / Route 7 you take I-84 West to RT 22 North for about 3 miles. Or, if you are up near Kent, CT you could take RT 55 West to RT 22 South. (Check MapQuest for best way.)

Our shop occupies 3,300 square feet in a business park. Big blue building on the right as you head north on RT 22. Directly across from a large, stand alone deli, Panino. We’ll park something out front to mark the spot!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Marcus or at R-E-D.

I think there will be a few staying for Marcus, probably myself included.

      Bill,
Sounds good, we all hope nothing will happen, but you never can be sure. I will have sockets in my trunk and the normal stuff.

I am willing to grab a bunch of Soda and chips...ext ext, but being 18 and all...if you guys want beer that can be someone elses assigment.

      Thanks Guys...Oh I checked weather...so far.
      85 and sunny next saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know what you guys need me to bring. Maybe we should get a list going of who is bringing what? Since we're eating at the state park, we should all pack a bag lunch or sandwich, correct?
