      Suspension Questions

So I started my build last week (see sig). The car came with no suspension components at all. Which from a cost standpoint is no fun, but I can at least choose exactly what I want. I think I will be going with the Hotchkis TVS Stage II SBC kit using the 3" drop. However I do have a few questions.

      1. Are the aftermarket tubular Front Control Arms worth it on a car that will likely see no track time? Think of my car as a spirited driving weekend car.
Since you can get the factory control arms for ~$100 compared to ~$1500 for the aftermarket I'm having trouble justifying the cost.

      2. Will there be any problems with this kit if I plan on installing the DSE mini-tubs in the rear?

      3. Because I am using a 3" drop kit does that mean I shouldn't get the drop spindles? I want the car to have no wheel gap, but don't want it slammed either.

      4. Would the ridetech kit be a better bet due to the coilovers and 4-link setup?

      Thank in advance.

For my car I went stock lowers with delum bushings (front to back), Globalwest uppers with g-mod. solid stock height body bushings and Globalwest rear leafs. Front and back are 2" drop. There is no performance advantage to tube lowers that I'm aware of. For the DSE tubs I believe you will need offset shackles to take full advantage of them. I have stock height spindles, If you plan on running bigger wheel package 17"18"etc. That combination along with the dropped spindle and corrected front end geometry tends to push the wheel back into the well. Hope this helps. Fell free to contact me if you have any other question.

Thanks for the info. I think I may go with the ridetech suspension. I feel like I'd be much more satisfied with coilovers rather than the leafs. Looking at this kit:
