Commander 950 TBI to HP TBI Computer!

I had a decent tune on my commander 950 tune and have recently finished my install of my HP computer and unterminated harness. I got the car running and everything seems great but does anyone have pointers on how to use this self tuning/learn part of the computer? Any suggestions would be great!!

Have you set up your target AFR table?

I haven't changed it from the base map I used, I believe it says 14.0 across the board. Suggestions? What should I do about the Learn Map? It has boxes I can check to control when it come on and off, also in the learn table its set up to remove or add 100% of fuel, shouldn't this be less? This way its not doing too much at once?
      Thanks

So were you using the Commander with the wide band upgrade before?

Yup, had the Wide Band in that setup too, but that table was also at 14.0 across the board.....

Depending on which base map you used, many do have a 14.0 target in the low load sections. You could have used the software to import your old tune aswell.

Typically we shoot for 12.8 to 13.2 Target at WOT

Idle/Cruize target is defined by what your particular engine likes. 14.0 is a good starting point. You can try leaning it out .2 steps and in/out of gear at idle. Go as lean as it will go until the idle quality is comprimised, then back to the previous. Same with cruize, I would pick a particular load/rpm and try a leaner value until you see similar results. Some get down in the 15.0 region, others may not.

100% learn is the amount the ECU is allowed to learn from closed loop correction. You can leave those values until you notice the O2 correction near 0% Then I suggest "tightening" them up abit. The closed loop correction limits will also be addressed after the target a/f's have been defined and the tune is complete.

So why the swap what was the wide band O2 Commander not doing well? A friend has one he is about to finally use and upgrade to the wide band addition for it. Had it on the shelf for 10 years!
