      Possible Engine or Wiring Issue

THIS WAS POSTED IN THE WIRING SECTION AS WELL. I RECEIVED NO FEEDBACK SO I THOUGHT I WOULD POST HERE IN CASE IT IS A POSSIBLE ENGINE ISSUE:

I am not sure what is going on, but I suspect it might be electrical. I know I do have an electrical drawl somewhere in my system that causes the battery to die after a few days of remaining parked.

I don't think that has anything to do with my new issue though. My car has started seeing an issue where I leave it parked for only a few moments, and it has an issue starting up. It acts like the battery is dead and won't turn over. However, if I pump the gas pedal rapidly, it will start to turn over and will eventually start. Very strange. It is a stock (for this post's purposes) 1979 Trans Am with the Pontiac 400 engine.

      Any ideas?

check your grounds. make sure there is more than the one from the battery.

Why would pumping the gas pedal cause it to turn over though? Seems strange. I mean, I cannot even hear the starter turning until I pump it.
