      Hello from SoCal

Just joined the site and love the diversity in builds seen already.

My project is a '65 Nova wagon. I've had it since January '09 and up to this point have only been doing body work although I have only worked on it on weekends, a few hours here and there, not a whole lot of the fun stuff. It's in roller condition and I'm just finishing up the blocking. It should be painted before the months out (seems like I've been saying that for a few months ;-) I plan to go the LS route; looking to get a LS1/4L60E combo, and can see there is plenty of info to soak in. The suspension is all aftermarket stuff; using Churchboys racing for the front and rear suspension, Baer SS4+ discs around with chromed TT2 rims. Went with the vaporworx tank, and the Entropy radiator as part of the LS package. I've stocked piled a boat load of inventory in which my sons room has turned into a mini parts store as he's off to college. He's back in 2 weeks so I need to do something. Should really make some great progress after paint.

I live in Southern California; Huntington Beach. Love to surf (hence the wagon). love music ..... love cars ;-)

Looking forward to the site. I'll post a few pics; my apologies if they don't come across ...

      Mike

Cool build. They may have to add another sub category for all the long roofs showing up.

There are a couple members there in HB. I lived there a while too, Huntington blvd just off PCH behind the Hotel.
The rule is measure twice and cut once. My problem is I still measure with a mic and cut with an axe!

Thanks. I'm pretty close to where you were. I'm at Magnolia and Adams, where they have the donut derelict car show each saturday morn.

Looks nice! Do you have a paint scheme in mind, would be cool to two tone it to match the VW.

I already have the paint picked out and I am going two tone. After looking a while, I ended up with going with stock '66 GM colors. The roof above the drip rails will be the Ermine white and the rest will be mosport green which is mostly found on a '66 vette; a very light metallic to it; looks darker in the shade of course.

      Mike,

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the wagon man!!! We were just talking about cool alternatives and the Nova wagon was high on the list! Good choice (Church Boys) for suspension, I personally have know Chuck Jr. for about 20 years!
