fuel / temp gauge calibration req'd?

Hi all and anyone who has an idea,

I just fininshed putting a new fuel tank / sending unit in my '69 camaro along with a new temp sending unit.



Problem: my fuel gauge and temp gauges (console) are totally out of whack. Bogus readings. My grounds are good and gauges are new.

Do I need to calibrate them? If so, how? I think my car uses a balanced coil type of fuel gauge.
