      69 Camaro 'Hot' Warning Light

Just swapped out stock style iron heads on my 69 Camaro for a set of Aluminium AFR's. Running a completely stock wiring harness with stock dash. My 'Hot' warning light (idiot light) sending unit is 1/2" NPT threads and the AFR's have a 3/8" NPT threads.

Does any body know of a stock style idiot light sending unit with 3/8" NPT threads. It has one wire going to it and I am pretty sure that when it gets to a certain temp, it goes to ground to complete a circuit and then the light comes on in the dash.

I am running some aftermarket gauges (mechanical oil press, water temp, volts), but want the idiot light to work also.

      Thanks,

Hit your local NAPA and pull out the electrical parts illustrated catalog, just look for a off cold at similar temps spec with appropriate threads. I am not near my old copy so looking for you is not possible. Good Luck
