Vortec 8.1, 496cu BBC. Fresh from a local engine builder in Tigard, Or. Have all receipts totaling $5000+.

All iron block and heads w/ 2 valves per cylinder.

HEADS

-Exhaust ported and bowls cleaned up
-Went from stock 1.74 exhaust valves to Manley 1.88 stainless
-2.19 intake

BLOCK

-Decked
-Line bored
-Balanced
-Eagle rods
-Stock 4 3/8'' crank
-BHJ balancer
-JE pistons (9:1)
-Comp Cams hydraulic roller w/560's lift

The engine is missing most of the accessories/serpentine system. I do have the water cross-over though. The original plan was to go fuel injection however Dart Machinery has recently developed a Intake Manifold with provisions for a distributor.
