      New Tiny Loop Carpet?

When we were at Goodguys DelMar we saw a few cars with carpet that is a teeny tiny loop. Does anyone know what this carpet is called? I asked one guy and he said that his builder custom ordered it from a place in Alabama but I think he was referring to the fact that it was dyed EXACTLY to match his leather interior. I'm looking for plain 'ol black. Any hints are greatly appreciated!

I appreciate your assistance but what I need to know is what this 'new' (?) very tiny loop carpet is called. Unfortunately, there are currently no companies making a molded carpet kit for a 1963 Rambler American wagon (other than the stock options) so I need to know the name of the carpet so that I can do it myself.

Okay, I take my former comment back...ACC did in fact have a listing that shows exactly the carpet I'm looking for. Thank you and I'm sorry I doubted you before looking into it further.

Was it the "Daytona" style loop? "Gros" also looks tiny whereas the "80/20" loop looks like OEM.

The face yarn of the Daytona carpet is 100% nylon.
The backing yarn is 30% nylon, 40% cotton & 30% rayon.
The total weight is 28 ounces per square yard with foam backing.
The Daytona carpet is 54" wide & is available in foam back only.
The Daytona carpet can only be used in cut & sew applications. It cannot be molded.

Gros Point is a high-end carpet made of 100% nylon that has the appearance of fine embroidery.
It was developed specifically for early model classic muscle and full size passenger cars built in the 50s & the 60s.

      Above is from ACC.
