68/9 Camaro console shift plate opening ???

Does anyone know the dimensions of the opening in the console plate for an automatic in a 68/9 Camaro??? Not the hole in the console. The hole in the shifter plate.

Ok. How about this?? Can someone who has a factory automatic console in a 68/9 Camaro measure the opening for me ?? I'm trying to determine if the shifter cover from a B&M Quicksilver will cover the opening. I've see people use Hammers and Megashisters but not a Quicksilver. I'm also hoping to find a local person with a 68/9 with factory console. But any help would be appreciated.

With the metal trim plate it's 4 1/4" by 7"

without it's not a true rectangle, and as I'm typing this, I forgot the measurements!

5 3/4" at the back, 6" at the front, and 9" long (can be made bigger by cutting the mounting plastic for the metal trim plate)
