      TKO speed sensor hookup

Has anyone used the speed sensor on a tremec to send a signal to an autometer electric speedo? AutoMeters website states that one of the sensor wires outputs dc voltage. So does that mean that the other wire would need a 12v supply?

You are correct. One goes to 12v on tach and the other to the OUT on the tach. If I remember correctly, there are two outs on the autometer tach. One is VSS OUT (something like that) and the other is standard DC out. If you are not using a computer, then use the standard DC out. If you connect to the wrong out the speedo will give you a crazy speed reading. Ask me how I know that.
