Got home late last night and can only say that this years Muscle Cars at the Strip was the best ever. Our location for the autocross was perfect and backed up to the Vendor area and Drag grandstands. Lots of booth traffic and the perimeter walls were lined with lots of spectators ... many of who became passengers for our H-Team "Stigs and Stigettes."

Pretty sure there were over 1300+ autocross runs over three days with our H-Teamers making about a third of them. Other than a finicky alternator which was quickly swapped out, my ride, the Hotchkis "eMax" Challenger, was absolutely perfect the entire weekend. Thanks to John and all of the Hotchkis crew for allowing me the keys to this amazing car and from the expressions and comments from passengers, this car retains the "Smile Machine" title hands down!!

Hey Mary. Congratulations on the win! It never ceases to amaze me how you can go so fast, and look so smooth. I still want a ride along next time I see you.

BB was running great, but the first half dozen runs felt like I was trying to do a Ken Block impersonation. There nothing like adding 150 HP over what you're used to to intensify the learning curve. I can't thank you and David enough for your help on the dial-in process of BB.

Thanks for the sticker. It looks great!

Thanks, Karl. I don't think anyone could drive that Challenger "wrong" if they tried and that car made me look good. It's the type of car I love to drive as its got a huge threshold between playing really nice and morphing into a hormone-raged PMSing wench wielding something deadly. Working my way down the stopwatch was pretty easy ...

What a great event MATS 2012 was! As always the Hotchkis team gave words of encouragement to all the Auto-X participants no matter what their skill level and made them comfortable trying it. Hotchkis offered ride-alongs for the spectators and I never saw an empty line. Most of the people who went for a ride, got out of the car and got back in line to ride in another car. It looked like the lines for an amusement park ride. Nothing but smiles all day long! Mary and David Pozzi never cease to amaze me, not only are they both awesome drivers but they are always willing to share their knowledge with others. Between giving rides all weekend they were both jumping in others cars and giving them tips to improve their driving and showing them what their cars are capable of. Between the Hotchkis Team and the Pozzi’s I think a lot more car enthusiasts’ were created this weekend.
Here are some pictures from the event:

I too had the best time thus far with my autocross training. The event was outstanding, I really enjoyed seeing the faces of those folks/children coming out of my car after a run around the track, too funny! Thanks to Hotchkis for the invite and the support, I really felt like part of the team. A special thanks to Dave Pozzi for his help and advise thus far, it's really helped me to better understand racing and my car. Can't wait for the next event!!

BTW - I missed Sunday because some drunk idiot took out my trailer in the parking garage. The only good thing was I got to drive my car home!
