need some suspension help/advice
i need some help on a new project i just picked up. she's a 1952 Chevy pick up. she's all original. i would like to update the suspension, and put in a complete air ride setup. i'm wanting to keep the prices down since i will have to have everything shipped overseas. i was thinking about a mustang II setup with air ride for the front, and a 4 link setup or something similar for the rear. i have just recently picked up a 5.3ls, trans and rear out of a 2008 H3 to transplant into my old chevy. i would like to do a one stop shop. if i could find one place to get everything that would be great. i also need to upgrade the steering to power sttering, and disk brakes all around. the rear already has disk brakes, but i wonder how hard it would be to change over the bolt pattern from 6x5.5 to 5x4.75. i figure i could change the rotors, but not quite sure. i won't have the drivetrain until this coming friday to check it all out. so if anyone can help me with a complete suspension setup that would also allow me to run power steering and brakes, it would be much appreciated. also, it would all have to be able to be shipped to an APO. Thanks for any and all help.
here's a pic of my girl that i'm working on.

03-06-2012 #2VERY cool piece...our general operations manager Steve McPherron has one like it. We have done literally hundreds of these type trucks. A Mustang II frontend with a parallel 4 link is the typical setup. We work with several of the chassis manufacturers that offer model specific frontends...No Limit...Fatmans...TCI, etc. The components that we could provide would be a NA Series ShockWave all around, parallel 4 link for the rear, and a compressor/control system of your choice. If you contact one of the above mentioned manufacturers they can supply the frontend system that is already set up for our ShockWaves. The ride quality will be excellent, the installation simple, and the handling will be at least as good as any new car...likely much better. Here are some links for more info:
