AWM hookup wire vs GPT automotive wire
OK guys I'm wiring the alternator to the disconnect switch in the trunk so I need probably 15-18' of 12ga. All the automotive wire I find is 12' or 100' spools. Most looks like it is probably GPT insulation and the specs up to 60 degrees C are the same as the 20' AWM 12 ga I can get at Radio Shack. Any difference for what I need?
