brain overload... help me pick my components

I am building this car to look more pt than to actually be pt. I want ride height adjustability, so thats why I want coilovers. Ride quality? I don't want it to ride like a two horse wagon but I don't expect a caddy ride either. I want it to be a very nice looking driver. I will rarely, if ever take it to track. QA1 seems to offer single around $400 and double adjustable around $600. If I read correctly, Heidt's offers a double for $540. Pros, Cons, which one to use?

Next, tubular control arms. For my purpose, is it worth doing? I currently have the stocks powdercoated with urethane bushings. From what I have read, I definitely need to do the tall ball joint if I keep these. Correct?

Steering, I currently have a rebuilt stock manual box. The car was drag raced with skinnies. Is it possible to stay manual with 18x8 wheels and 245's? If not, what should I use? I have not seen much talk on gear boxes.



I have more questions but I am overwhelmed at what to do and what not to do at this moment. If it matters, I will be ordering 18" Livewires, 10 in the back and 8 in the front. Thanks in advance for any help. Now fire away at this newbie!
