      mounting C5/C6 control arms

I had posted earlier to see if the piece that mounts the control arms on the vettes had a real name. Checked with the dealership today and apparently you have to buy the whole control arm to get the mounting piece. Pdaft has spherical bushings that are mounted with a "tie bar" or what ever they are called as shown here: http://www.pfadtracing.com/catalog/p...roducts_id/105.

I was told by Art Morrison chassis that the version they use on their chassis is two pieces that screw together in the middle. I threw a model together of this, and it can be seen in the picture I attached. Does anyone have any information on the inside diameter of the control arm bushings, and any dimensions on a C6 upper or lower ball joint. I found online some .stp files of the C6 knuckle, hubs, rotor, and some vette rims if anyone wants them as well.

If you don't mind I would appreciate:

Bolt hole diameter (look like 5/8"?)
      width of bushing
Thickness of metal where the bolts are
      Total length

      Thanks for the help

The holes are actually slots. They are clearanced for a 10mm bolt. 3/8ths is close but I would design for 7/16ths. Any bigger and you lose too much cross section.
      These are called "Bowties".

Thanks, I am creating a rough version of them. The top left sketch in the print is hard to tell what each dimension is for. I am debating a solid piece like you have shown or a 2-piece bowtie like art morrison chassis claims to use.
